Our Story
Druffel Design and Landscape is an award-winning landscaping services provider in the Greater Cincinnati Area. The company was founded in 1970 by two enterprising Cincinnati high school entrepreneurs who formed a partnership around a core philosophy: consistent dedication to quality services at a competitive price point would provide longevity. During their first year of operations, they grossed just over $8,000 in revenue. A mere seven years later, the company grew by over 1,600 percent, but partner Mike Schmerge elected to sell his equity in the business to Dan Druffel. Thus, the “Druffel” brand was born.

Brandon Druffel
Landscape Architect
Brandon is a registered Landscape Architect and LEED AP certified. He has a passion for design and horticulture. Growing up in the family business, he was taught the standards of a properly done "Druffel" job by his father and works to carry on that tradition today. He has been involved in both the design and implementation of many award-winning projects. He strives for perfection in every project and enjoys working with his clients to help make their dreams become reality.

Pody Druffel
Chief Finance Officer
Pody became involved with the business in 1980. She manages the accounting and financial analysis for the businesses. After spending three years of her collegiate career at The Ohio State University, she completed her Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati with an emphasis in marketing.
Continued Growth
In 1983, we continued to grow by investing in property in Morrow, Ohio to develop a wholesale nursery business, now known as Double D Plant Ranch, and an operations center in Walnut Hills. However, we owe our continued success and growth to the same core philosophy that we have always maintained: any job worth doing is a job worth doing right.
Giving Back
